Radical Resistance to Xenophobia
Radical Resistance to Xenophobia, was held in New York City and featured over 30 gallery artists—New Yorkers, immigrants, and social justice artists exploring themes of multiculturalism, diversity, and sanctuary, while illustrating the artists’ interpretation of the times we live in.
Multiculturalism. Diversity. Sanctuary.
The Radical Resistance to Xenophobia group exhibition was an artist-driven response to the Trump Administration’s immigration policies and assault on sanctuary cities. The exhibition contextualized social justice within the language of contemporary art and created dialogue around what the Trump presidency means to artists, immigrants, and to all that makes America uniquely inclusive, diverse, and extraordinary.
The show ran from May 6, 2017 – May 18, 2017 with an opening reception on Saturday, May 13th from 7-9:00 p.m.
